1968 - Court Line Tristar Contract Signed... Court Lines order for two Rolls-Royce powered Lockheed TriStar jets. August 17th, became a firm contract with the formal signing in London of the £20 million deal. It involves the biggest financial package ever to be arranged in Britain for a UK independent airlines. The Court Line TriStars are being formally purchased by Airlease International, a partnership of eleven of Britains leading banks and financial institutions, for lease to Court Line Aviation on a long term basis. The jets will be delivered in February and come into service next April for Clarksons Holidays, Britains leading air holidays company, with whom Court Line has a five year flying agreement.
