Nov. 11, 1957 - British Prisoner In Cairo To Be Released: According to reports in the Cairo newspaper Al Ahram - a decree has been passed in Egypt pardoning prisoners who have completed half their sentences. This is to apply to James Swinburn the Britisher who was the Cairo business manager of the Arab News Agency. He was sentenced in 1957 to five years penal servitude for alleged espionage. According to reports the pardon will not apply to James Zarb, Maltese born British subject, who was sentenced to 10 years on similar charges - as he has not yet completed half his sentence.
