Mar. 22 Ernst Wilhelm Sachs killed by an avalanche: On Easter Monday, April 11thm 1977, Ernst Wilhelm Sachs (ERNST WIHELM SACHS - our picture) was killed by an avalanche. The 48 years old industrialist of Schweinfurt spent holidays in the French Alps. By helicopter he flew - accompanied by a ski-instructor and an alpin-guide-from Val d'Isere to the Boucher-masaif and started the downhill run in 3000m. In a small passage Ernst Wilhelm Sachs was buried by an avalanche. When he was found about 30 minutes later, he has been dead. Ernst Wilhelm Sachs was, together with the younger brother Gunter, the owner of the well-known Fichtel and Sachs- concern in Schweinfurt/ West Germany
