Mar. 03, 1960 - Property Tycoons Confes on a Big Business Plan Mr. Charles Clore, the industrialist and financier, met Mr. Conrad Hilton, the American hotel owner, in Mayfair yesterday on a site where the 500 room London Hilton Hotel in to be built. It will be the first Hilton Hotel in Britain. Workmen were working on the site as Mr. Clore and Mr. Hilton, partners in the project, studied the plans of the new hotel which will have a tower 27 storeys and 300 feet high and is expected to cost million.
