Aug. 08, 1964 - The190 PRAM -Which Hannah Can't Bear To Give Up. It Is Full Of Her Treasures'. Seventy five year old Mrs. Hannah Smith walked into the Station office at Alrewas, Staffs. yesterday to collect her perambulator - the pram which she could not bear to give up. she left the pram there sixteen years ago - packed with some of her treasures including two thimbles - a prayer book - a Union Jack etc. It had been stored at the Station for sixteen years - at1 per month a total of190 in storage fees. Mrs. Smith said she had wheeled her four children in the pram - and just could net bear to with it. Now the station is due for closure under the Beaching plan - so that is probably why Mrs. Smith decided to collect it.
