Aug. 08, 1966 - New Company To Manufacture TV Colour Tubes: The formation of a new company, RCA Colour Tubes Limited, to manufacture RCA colour television picture tubes in England for the British and export markets, was announced jointly today by the Radio Corporation of America and Radio Rentals Limited, at a Press Conference in London. The new enterprise was disclosed at the conference by Mr. Robert W. Sarnoft, President of RCA and Mr. J.W.C. Robinson, Chairman of the Board of Radio Rentals Limited, one of Britain's leading manufacturers and distributors of Television sets. Mr. Robinson said: the factory will be located in a development area in the North West, at Skelmeraduls in Loncashire. Photo shows (L - R): Mr. R.W.
