Jan. 01, 1971 - Lord Rothermere Retires: Viscount Rothermere, 72, yesterday announced his retirement from the chairmanship of both Associated Newspaper Group and its subsidiary company, Harmsworth Publications. The Daily Mail, Daily Sketch and London Evening News are published by Harmsworth Publications. He is to become president of Associated Newspapers and director of group finance.
