May 10, 1973 - Lonrho Chief Says 130, 000 compensation for the ending of the former Cabinet Minister's consultancy agreement with the company was taken after it had been carefully considered by himself, Mr. Angus Ogilvy, then a director, and the then chairman of Lonrho, Mr. Allan Ball. In evidence read to the High Court in the case in which he is fighting a move by eight fellow directors to sack him, Mr. Rowland stated that Mr. Ogilvy, Princess Alexandra's husband, was one of those who decided on the amount.
