Jan. 01, 1976 - TOP STATE WATCHDOG IS THE NEW DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE CONFEDERATION OF BRITISH INDUSTRY. The Confederation of British Industry have appointed MR. JOHN METHVEN to be its next Director-General. He is at present Director General of Fair Trading - the Government's chief watchdog on competition and consumer affairs. MR. METHVEN succeed SIR CAMPBELL ADAMSON and takes up his new appointment in June. PHOTO SHOWS: MR.
