Businessmen - CEO's - Executives

Feb. 02, 1976 - The Lockheed payoff scandal. Assistant District Attorney Mario Martella ordered the arrest of Camille Crociani, who resigned as president of Finmeccanica, the state holding company for engineering firms. He quit after hearing the board was about to fire him for his links to companies charged as go betweens for the Lockheed Aircraft Co. Crociani, whom police said has probably left Italy, was under investigation on suspicion of participating in bringing unidentified Italian civil servants. The charges against him were not immediately disclosed. Photo shows Engineer Camillo Crociani at his desk
