May 05, 1977 - Strike could shut the national theater: The unofficial wash basin strike by the National Theater electricians, mechanics and production staff which has closed the 7 million complex since last Friday. is very serious said Mr. Peter Hal, the director. with the cancellation of last night's performances the theater's losses have reached 2, 000 and if the strike continues 0, 000 will be lost by Thursday. The strike was caused by the dismissal of Mr.Cooper a plumber, who according to the management was asked to repair two faulty wish bashins, a job which has been suggested could have been completed in two hours, threox days later the task had still not been completed.
