Businessmen - CEO's - Executives

Dec. 12, 1980 - Swiss Candle Drive Snuffed Out: M.Alfred Fuetsch, 44, a Swiss businessman sitting last night in his London hotel room, electric lights blazing and his candlepower all 120 tons not worth a light. A representative of three Swiss candle manufacturers he said: When I heard that they were selling here for 15s each I jumped on the first plane and left a cargo all ready at Zurich airport for immediate dispatch to London. Holding up a 1 1/2 lb. 7-day monster, M.Fuetsch said he could have sold it for five shillings wholesale, but looking up at the electric light he added: Now your power dispute is over and its all been a waste of time. The man who has burnt his fingers in Britain handled his samples hopefully. I'll try to sell them when I get back. We use a lot of candles in Switzerland, you know
