Jul. 07, 1977 - Osano On Trial The Japanese business tycoon Kenji Osano went on trial in Tokyo on July 21, 1977. He denied receiving any payment from Lockheed for aiding Lockheed to sell aircraft in Japan. Osano was the first defendant in the £12 million Lockheed pay-off scandal. Other defendants include former Prime Minister Kakue Tanaka and the extreme rightist Yoshio Kodama
