Apr. 18, 1979 - Paul Petrides, the famous painting seller, at 78 years-old, was just sentenced to 3 years in prison. He must also pay a 30, 000 franc fine and other important customs fines determined by the 17th district court of Paris. He is accused of hiding 18 Impressionist painters canvases which were stolen in 1972, as well as 3 canvases of Utrillo from various sources. Petrides is pictured here leaving the Paris courthouse. He was not arrested after his trial on account of his age
