Oct. 10, 1969 - Uproar at Today's Special Meeting of the Pergamon Press Shareholders. Mr. Robert Maxwell, millionaire Labour MP and head of the Pergamon Press Publishing empire, caused a sensation at the shareholders meeting at the Connaught Rooms, London, today, when he revealed that the merchant bankers N.M. Rothschild, acting for Leasco Data Processing of America, had obtained an injunction to strict him him from adjourning the meeting. The meeting had been called to veto on resolutions proposed by Pergamon Press to confirm Mr. Maxwell as the head, but counter proposals by Rothschild sought to remove the whole Pergamon board and substitute Leasco men.
