Caernarvon tank in armoured vehicles demonstration

May 05, 1954 - Stand-In Tank Shows The Way: The Caernarvon, experimental British tank described by Britain's War Minister Antony Head as probably the most powerful in the world, was put through its paces recently at the British Royal Armoured Corps centre's annual demonstration of armoured fighting vehicles. The Caernarvon has the engine and chassis of the Conqueror, Britain's new super tank, for which it stands in at troop trials pending delivery of the Conqueror.
