Apr. 17 Seven year old Ceylonese Girl - Seven Months Pregnant. A seven year old Ceylon girl has been reported as being seven months pregnant. She is Sumanawathie and she comes from Vanni - a most under developed dry - zone area of Ceylon. The girl was admitted to the Rural Hospital in the area - but as the unusual case - the girl was sent to a district hospital - where she is said to be doing well. It is thought that the girl will be taken to the General Hospital in Colombo. Sumanawathie's father - K. Suddaharmy, a Cultivator, said that the girl attainedberty at the age of two years.
