Jun. 01, 1976 - A Unique exhibition of Sculpted Animals: An exhibition of domesticated beasts and other creatures opens tomorrow June 2nd at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London. They are freakish looking sculptures by a French husband and wife, Francois Xavier and Claude Lalanne from Paris. Their studio and home is in a village near Fontainebleau, Paris. They produce the most weird and unusual works under the combined name of Les Lalannes. Photo shows a camel ride for Francois and his sculptor wife Claude and their daughter Valerie
