Jan. 01, 1953 - Canadian Sabre Jets handed over to RAF commissioner greets F/Sgt. From Edinburgh. A squadron of North American F. 86E sabre Jet fighters arrived at the RAF station, Abingdon today and were handed over to Lord De Lisle and Dudley, the Air Minister by Mr. Norman Robertson the Canadian high commissioner they are the first of the allocation of over three hundred to the RAF under arrangement between Canada, USA and the United Kingdom.
