Feb. 25 Murder Investigations Aboard The Queen Mary. Captain Fills In A Questionnaire. Detectives from Scotland Yard went aboard the liner Queen Mary at Southampton to interview many crew members in an effort to get information regarding the murder on October 21st of 60 year old taxi driver George Newberry. He was found battered to death in a Lovers Lane seven miles from Southampton. For may years George had driven men from the liner around Southampton. On the night of the murder two men were seen getting into a taxi near the liner. Later the vessel sailed for New York.
