Captain Lacy of US Polaris submarine in Scotland

Feb. 02, 1963 - British Pressmen Visit the USS Polaris Submarine Ethan Allen'. A number of British pressmen today paid a visit to the United States Polaris submarine moored near Holy Loch, Scotland - and were taken on a trip to sea. Ten officers and 90 men operate the 0, 000, 000 vessel - which is said to carry more destructive power than that unleashed by both sides during the whole of the last war. Photo Shows: Captain P L Lacy, Commanding Officer of the USS Ethan Allen, the Polaris submarine, looking through the periscope on board today
