Mar. 03, 1950 - Two hundred riders take part on ancient machines in Pioneer run from Tattenham Corner to Brighton; Two hundred riders on machines anything from 34 to 50 years old - took part in the fourteenth Pioneer Run for Motorcycles of Historic Interest from Tattenham Corner to Brighton. One of the oldest machines being an 1898 Breston tricycle and one of the most noted machines was a 1903 Quadrant. Photo Shows Mr. A. H. Grundy of Grimsby on his 1903 Quadrant - with its 2 1/4 h.p. Minerva engine is watched by four years old Susan Sloan at the start of the run from Tattenham Corner
