Oct. 10, 1956 - Bus Blows its top: A double Decker bus with a completely detachable plastic reinforced fiber glass roof, giving protection from bad weather and allowing the enjoyment of good, was a feature of a recent show of commercial vehicles in London and indicative of a growing British trend towards the use of plastics for lightweight body construction. Britain's exports of commercial vehicles for the first half of this year were valued at 40 million. Picture shows four men demonstrate the ease with which a bus can blow its top.
