Nov. 11, 1958 - WIND TUNNEL TEST OF STREAMLINED PROTECTION: Streamlining and weather and crash protection have been added to motorcycles by a British Aircraft manufacturer and demonstrated at the International Cycle and Motor Cycle Exhibition, London, November 15th - 22nd. A glass-reinforced plastic front cowl moulded integrally does the trick. Machine equipped with it also come with instrument panels of the same material. Picture Shows:- Rider on a streamlined Royal Enfield during a low-speed wind tunnel check for airflow characteristics.
