Car Parts - Engines - Tire - Transportation - Vehicles

Feb. 26 The Mercury Comet for 1962 has significant rear-end styling changes but continues to offer the same features that have made it a strong competitor in the compact market. The Comet name has been altered to reflect its membership in the broadened Mercury line for 1962. Rear fins have been tapered down and new taillights are set in pairs on a bright metal applique. A new spear molding distinguishes the side appearance. Sound deadening material has been nearly doubled to isolate the driver and passenger compartment. A new Custom series increases the number of Comet models from five to nine
