Car Parts - Engines - Tire - Transportation - Vehicles

Feb. 26 Along the 850-mile route of the Anglo-American Vintage Car Rally now taking the teams through the British countryside on the way to the motor-racing circuit at Goodwood in Sussex on September 11th, there are time checks and various tests in which the teams may lose points. Here is the oldest British entry - a 1906 Wolseley-Siddeley-being time-checked at Chettisham near Ely, on the fourth day. The car is driven by its owner, Mr. Douglas Graham Fitzpatrick, of North Walsham in Norfolk, and his bearded co-driver, Vincent Rawlings. At the end of the fifth day, after a further time check between Cambridge and Sulgrave Manor, the American team- down 769 points - were ahead of the British, who had lost 806. The rally ends at Goodwood, the motor-racing circuit in Sussex, on September 11th. Sponsored by the British Travel and Holidays Association, this rally is the first of its kind to be held
