Feb. 29 Bulgarian Car BA': If you see that cairn the streets of Sofia or on the roads of Bulgarian don't try to remember which make of familiar car it reminds you of. You won't find it similar to any car you know. It is BA, which stands for Bulgarian automobile, It was made by Lyuben Stoyanov, a garage mechanic from Sofia. For several years he has been working on it during his free time, and has made everything himself - from the plans to the construction. The body of the car is made of wood and iron sheets. The BA car has a standard gear box and engine from the Fiat-2300 model, the wind screen is form a ZAZ-968'. The car has four seats and a maximal speed of 180 Km/h. It goes without saying that in order to be allowed in the traffic the car had to meet the strict requirements of the Control of Automobile Transport authorities. Its technical data: power 117 h/p, ger lever on the floor, front and rear suspension of the brakes, tyres 175x14, track of the front and rear wheels 1600-1640 mm, servo brakes.
