Feb. 26 Largest shipment yet of Corvette equipped with Chevrolet's exclusive Ramjet fuel injection left the St. Louis plant of the company this week. The number, posed in the yard outside the assembly building, was (count em) fifty. They were destined for all parts of the country where demand for the model far exceeds supply. Fuel injection, being pioneered by Chevrolet in its 1957 line, replaces the conventional carburettor and assures quicker, smoother accelerator response, With the device, Chevrolet's new 283 cubic inch V8 develops 283 horsepower
