Feb. 26 A unique experience in top down motoring is offered in the Thunderbird sports roadster for 1963. With its automatic convertible top gliding back completely out of sight into the trunk with a touch of a dashboard switch, the sports roadster, like the convertible, retains its classic silhouette even when the top is down. A tonneau cover over the entire rear portion of the passenger compartment transforms the four-seat Thunderbird into a sporty two-seater. The roadster features head rests, wire spoke wheels and an assist bar for passenger convenience. As on the other three Thunderbird models for 1963 -- the hardtop, hardtop Landau and convertible -- the sports roadster features a chassis that requires no major chassis lubrication for 100, 000 miles and has n oil change interval of 6, 000 miles
