Feb. 26 BRITISH MOTOR CORPORATION SHOWS ITS NEW BABY CARS THE AUSTIN SEVEN AND THE MINI-MINOR. The two new baby cars of the British Motor Corporation - were shown to the press at Chobham, Surrey - recently - and they are expected to create a sensation in the world's car markets. They are the Austin Seven (850) and the Morris Mini-Minor (850). Mechanically they are both the same with front-wheel drive - all round independent suspension - a Transverse mounted 850 c.c. 4 cylinder engine (O.H.V.) and has a speed of 70 m.p.h. - with 50 m.p.g. at 50 m.p.h. It is a full four seater, with an all steel body. Basic price of both models is £350 plus £146-19-3d. Purchase Tax, with the De Luxe model costing about £40 extra.
