Feb. 26 Garden She is worlds oldest surviving motorized caravan; When the famous London to Brighton Run is held in May, one of the most interesting entrants will be the world's oldest surviving motorized caravan, entered by its owner Mr. Leo Smith of Smallfields, near Redhill Surrey. The caravan a 1914 model T ford with Balce chain driven extension was derelict when Rm. Smith first saw it having been used for 40 years as a garden shed. He bought it for150, intending to use it to provide spares for his model T ford lorry. But having got it home, he decided to restore it and spent three years on renovations and he now values it at15, 000. In the summer he intends to tour France in it with his wife and children.
