Mar. 31 Launch of Superscale Blower Bentley 1929.: The D. Maynell Superscale Blower Bentley 1929 -a spuer toy which can be driven around by Dad as well as five-year-old child was launched in London today. Designed to a three-sevenths scale it is just under half the size of the original famous Blower which raced in Le Mans in 1930. The original Blower still takes place in Veteran and Vintage Car Rallies and races. This particular Bentley was referred to as Blower because of the supercharger which was mounted in front of the radiator. Driven by an electric motor, battery powered, the D. Meynell Superscale model model has speeds of 3, 6, 9, and 12 m.p.h. with a safety lock which can be fitted to control the speeds to 3 and 6 m.p.h. It has a range of 30 miles (2 hours running) when fitted with a 75 amp./hr. battery. This means that apart from being used as a toy it can be used as an estate run-about.
