Apr. 05 Oldsmobile's F=88 two-passenger sports convertible is powered by an advanced 250-horsepower version of the famous Rocket engine with 9 to 1 compression ratio. This American - designed sports car on display at the GM Motorana is painted metallic gold, while the upholstery and steering wheel are finished in pigskin. Instrumentation id aircraft type, with the instruments extending from the center of the dash panel in a line to the back of the seat, dividing the seat compartment. A large 88 on the front fender panes identifies the car. There is a honeycomb type grille and an air scoop in the center of the hood provides air for the carburator. Wheelbase is 102 inches, overall length is 167 1/4 inches and overall height at the windshield with the top down is 48 inches
