Mar. 02 DOUBLE-DECKER DEBUT: The first of 10 double-decker buses designed especially for guided tours of the San Diego Zoo went into service today (Aug. 6). Each new bus will accommodate 108 passengers (twice the rider capacity of the old, single-level buses) with upper-deck riders enjoying a bird's-eye view of the Zoo, approximately 14 feet above the ground. Additional double-decker buses are expected to arrive at the Zoo in late August or early September from Amerij'an Carrier Corp. in Fresno. Funds for the first five double-decker Zoo buses were contributed by Copley Press, California First Bank, Chevron U.S.A. San Diego Federal and the Wickes Corp
