Apr. 05 Motoring Record: Over 224, 000 care, commercial vehicles and tractors were imported into the United States in 1959 according to a recent announcement of the British Automobile Manufacturers Association from their New York City office. These, like 85, 000 units imported into Canada, were a record valued at300 million with spare parts included. The figure54 million in spares. Pictured is a shipload being landed at St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. Most of them are Vauxhalls, made by the English subsidiary of America General Motors Corporation
