Jul. 07, 1961 - LTE Experimenting with White Lady bus: The London Transport Experiment is currently conducting an experiment to find out whether a double decker bus with an unpainted aluminum body will stand up as well to the weather as the more familiar red buses. Already christened The White Lady by the staff, the new bus went into service this morning on Route 276 from Brixton to Tottengam.
