Nov. 11, 1961 - Police Drive Away Cabs While Owners Meet To Consider Strike Action Today: London police were kept busy this afternoon removing cabs left by their drivers near Speakers Corner, Hyde Park, where they were meeting to consider a 48-hour strike in protest against a recent court case which saw two drivers banned because they damaged a minicab.
