Car Parts - Engines - Tire - Transportation - Vehicles

Feb. 14, 1962 - Featuring sporty interiors and spirited performance, a new model has been added to Ford's intermediate-size fairlane series. Designed the Fairlane 500 sports Coupe, the car offers a new and more powerful 260-cubic-inch V-8 engine along with a luxuriously appointed, bucket seat interior. The front bucket seats are similar in construction to those offered in the Thunderbird, and are separated by a console that contains a convenient personal effects compartment. The fairlane 500 sports coupe is the fifth model to be offered in the Fairlane series. Two-and four-door models are currently available in both the fairlane and the fairlane 500 series
