Mar. 03, 1961 - London's first mini cabs ready for services flat 600 G. C. Vehicles.: London's first mini-cabs were to be seen at a Vauxhall Bridge road, service station this morning. The Sylvester car hire company is to start a service on Monday with a fleet of 25 flat. Multiplas radio- controlled cabs on Monday and augment the fleet by five a week. He plans to charge 1/6d, for first mile plus 1/- each additional miles. The cabs will not play for hire- but will have to carry only two passengers. No extra charge will be made for luggage.
