Oct. 10, 1962 - The Kensington Maze - Residents Protest: They call it the Kensington Maze - the intersection of Pembroke Road and Cromwell Crescent in London W.8. Residents have formed a Traffic Protest Committee following three accidents in three weeks on the corner - which is designed to speed the flow of traffic from north to south across West London. Within fifty square yards are this conglomeration of traffic devices: Two traffic islands; eleven sets of lights; seven sets of no parking signs; three no left turn signs; three no right turn signs; six no entry targets; three two-way traffic indicators; four one way signs.
