Aug. 08, 1965 - The Unhurried Driver: Some motorists probably said some unkind things about Harold Bonnet yesterday, as he drove his steamroller through the crowded roads of Buckinghamshire, reducing the traffic to two miles an hour. But of course, they didn't known that Mr. Bonnet is no ordinary steamroller driver, but a steamroller connoisseur, a protector of a piece of transport that is otherwise in danger of joining its absolescent friends the tram, the trolley bus and the steam locomotive. Yesterday, he was completing a 26-mile journeys he has been making from Sabey's gravel pits, West Drayton, Middlesex, to his home in Bledlow Ridge, Bucks, where he keeps both this steamroller and another he bought last year. A holiday excursion for both Mr. Bonnett, who is 58, and works as a clerk at Peddington station, and his roller. Photo shows The joys of the open road at 2 m.p.h. as Mr. Bonnett and his roller make their way through the countryside
