Sep. 09, 1967 - The all-new 1968 Cadillac engine has a displacement of 472 cubic inches and 525 foot pounds of torque--both the highest of any production car engine in the world. Standard in all 11 models, the new engine has a horsepower rating of 375. Designed into this engine are: an integral exhaust emission control system, air conditioning mountings built into the engine structure and a unique metal temperature sensing device which forewarns the driver by buzzer and red light if the engine is overheating
