Britain's first challenger of the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hour race in June - is the new Special bodied lightweight Austin-Healey Sprite - built by the Donald Healey Company at Warwick. The car is to have tests on the Silverstone circuit - and the Warwickshire high speed track of the Motor Industry Research Association. Two of the prototypes will be entered at Le Mans. The new Austin Healey, painted orange with its four covered headlights, sharp aerodynamic streamlined body and bobbed tail - does not look very much like the Austin-Healey Aprite - but it has incorporated its best points. It has a four cylinder 1139 c.c. engine - four speed gearbox - with a top speed of over 140 mph - compared with the 95 mph of the production sprite'..
