Oct. 10, 1967 - Press preview of the Motor Show, The Ideal Car: Motoring comfort from the luxury bracket one upmanship that comes from exclusive styling in exterior and interior coachwork, the security of built in safety vital to high road performance and matching a maximum speed in the 140 mph range. These were the ideas that went into the ideal car of the Daily Telegraph Magazine and desirable sports coupe which is unveiled to the public at the Motor Show, which opens tomorrow at Earl's Court. The basics in the planning of the Pirana were that it should mirror the type of ideal car that every motorist, at some time or another, dreams of having built for his personal pleasure regardless of cost but embodying components already in production or in prototype and so available to any other motorist. Many special features are built into the Bertone body of the Pirana.
