Jul. 07, 1969 - The Two Millionth Mini Rolls Off The Production Lines At British Leyland's Longbridge Factory The two millionth Mini to be produced since the introduction of the model in August 1959 left the assembly line at the Longbridge, Birmingham, plant of British Leyland's Austin Morris Division. This was the first time a British car has passed the two million mark - and in its ten year life it has already earned £240 million in exports.
