1971 - New Amphibious cross country vehicle presented: Recently a new vehicle was presented by Messerschmidt Bolkow Blohm GMBH Ottobrunn near Munich (Bavaria Germany). The amphibious cross country vehicle of self supporting fiberglass sandwich construction with all wheel drive was developed in conjunction with the Federal Office of Military Technology and Procurement and the Federal Ministry of Defense. Purpose of this vehicle is the use and the try out of the developed fiber glass technologies for an amphibious cross country vehicle the new fiberglass sump of which has to suite the hardest working conditions your driving and floating. Te bottom of the new universal vehicle being constructed as floating sum which is covered with Polyarethan hard foam. This fiberglass sump is being used instead of the usual float able metal sump. It is self supporting and is therefore very different from fiberglass bodies which are only used for shaping. The new amphibious cross country vehicle
