Oct. 10, 1973 - Preview of The Motor Shows. Minissima - A Design Study. A tiny town car based on the Mini to make it easier to get in and out of crowded shopping centres, could point the way ahead for city cars all over the world. It is an eve-of-the Show surprise at this year's London Motor Show, which opens at Earls Court. The Minissima is only 7ft 6in in overall length, yet it is a full four-seater with plenty of cubby holes and storage space, and hass rear door. British Leyland has taken a continuing interest in it and will show it on the Austin Morris Division stand. British Leyland have at present have no plans to put the Minissima into production, but consider that the design merits further research
