Professor Eric Lai thwaite, who developed linear motors for the new defunct hovertrain - wants to build a full scale version of a new high speed Tracked Hovercraft Ltd, which was closed by the Government. The new machine on which his group was working, was described as magnetic rivers'. It could provide prepulsion and suspension for high speed trains on one unit.
