Sep. 09, 1975 - Introducing the new British six-wheel racing car: A revolutionary answer to the drag problem created by the front wheels of the grand prix cars is provided by the Elf Team Tyrekk's experimental grand prix car. It has four small steerable wheels at the front which account for 12 per cent of the total drag, and the designer Derek Gardner, hopes to gain the equivalent of an extra 40-50 horsepower from the Ford-Cosworth engine mounted at the rear.
