Car Parts - Engines - Tire - Transportation - Vehicles

Aug. 08, 1959 - Introducing the first British GO CART'..The Poor Man's miniature racing car.: The Trojan Car Company has produced what is called the Tro-kart - Britain's answer to the popular American Go-Cart - the Poor Man's racing car.It is rather like an over-grown roller skate - is fitted with a 98 cc engine - and has a speed of about 20 m.p.h. - with all the thrills - of a full-sized racing car. It is expected that the new baby racing car will sell for about100, or for possibly50 as a Do-It Yourself outfit. The car has been introduced by Mr. Peter Ag, managing-director of the Trojan Company. It has only two pedal controls-brake and accelerator, plus ignition switch. It has no gears - no clutch - no springs and the bodywork is simply a tubular frame. Photo showsorma Berrage (24) tries out one of the new miniature racing cars - within a normal car alongside - Mr. I. Green Secretary of the Trojan Company
